HSPD Arrest Homicide Suspect

 

 

 

On December 5, 2017 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers with the Hot Springs Police Department responded to 208 Nevada Street for a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers located three deceased individuals inside the residence.  HSPD detectives responded to the scene and began a homicide investigation.  During the investigation, detectives processed the crime scene, interviewed witnesses and determined the identity of the suspect as Nicholas Matthew Lewondowski, age 34 of Hot Springs.

Detectives learned Lewondowski was at a residence at 347 Little Mazarn Road.  At 6:51a.m. on December 6, 2017, Nicolas Lewondowski was arrested without incident at the residence on Little Mazarn Road and taken into custody.

The names of the deceased victims are not being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.

Chief Stachey would like to recognize the men and woman of the HSPD patrol division, Criminal Investigation Division and S.W.A.T., for their outstanding dedication in conducting a very comprehensive investigation.  Their diligent and outstanding work resulted in the quick identification and arrest of Mr. Lewondowoski.

Lewondowski has been transported to HSPD and arrested for three counts of Capital Murder.  He will be transported to the Garland County Detention Center and booked in with no bond.
