About Me: I'm a Hot Springs native who grew up listening to all the great radio stations in our fair area. I was psyched about taking the weeknight helm at KLAZ in 2005; the very slot where Kramer started years ago. In the spring of 2008 I took a sabbatical from radio. During this time I helped fight the rampant dietary iron deficiency from which many children in the Vanuatu islands suffer. Iron deficiency is a serious problem in many remote areas of the world and can result in anemia, hair loss, congenetal birth defects, and death. Unfortunately, upon arrival to one of the small islands of this archipelaego I was mistaken for the local religion's version of the devil, and the people imprisoned me. In hindsight, tattooing my face to look like Gene Simmons the night before may have been an ill-advised decision. However, their prison was constructed entirely of bamboo, which to their credit likely serves the locals well because their malnourished, iron-deficient bodies could not possibly break the light material without heavy implements of destruction. I waited until the evening and made short work of the fragile bamboo jail, jumped into the ocean and swam for Australia some thousand miles away. There I worked as a dishwasher at a bar in Brisbane until I raised enough money to remove my Gene Simmons face tattoo and fly back to the States. The moral of the story is, as always: Stay in school, eat your brocolli, and avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes during the holiday shopping season, as they tend to increase stress. In August of 2009 I returned to KLAZ, and as of this writing I am still there.

Favorite Pastime: Being "that dude" at Sonic who rolls his windows down and blasts music so the whole drive-in can hear.

Favorite Food: Easy one: cheese burgers. Vanuatu had, like, zero cheeseburgers. Go figure.

Dream Vacation: Sweden. The Babage is the choicest on the planet.

Favorite TV Shows: I was into Battlestar Galactica when it was on, but since then I've been in a TV rut. Burn Notice, House, and NCIS are my current on-again-off-again shows. Since the death of Michael Jackson I've been addicted to the news channels as well.

Fav Movies: Any of Godzilla's 34 films- I'm outraged that the Academy hasn't given him a lifetime achievement award. Shawshank Redemption as well if I'm feeling mainstream intellectual, but other than that you have probably never heard of any movies I own.

Dislikes: Loud kids in closed spaces, Texas drivers on 7 South who don't know how to drive on curvey roads, middle school kids who make any noise in a movie theatre, getting a coffee stain on a shirt I just ironed, people who can't decipher song lyrics and sing their lyrics over the actual lyrics, and other perfectly reasonable pet peeves that any thinking person would have.
