HOT SPRINGS – Mayor Pat McCabe will present a proclamation for Constitution Day at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 17 at the Fordyce Bathhouse as part of the Daughters of the American Revolution-Akansa Chapter’s weeklong celebration of Constitution Week. The public is welcome to attend in colonial attire, joining other costumed historical figures representing Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross and George and Martha Washington.
The proclamation will be presented during a ceremony that will include patriotic music by local musicians and culminate with the National Bells Across America event at 4 p.m. A replica of the U.S. Constitution, located at the Fordyce, will be on display for guests to sign.
